The NPC Hap is broken

Says online the only way to unlock this zombie in southern thanalan - unlock as in challenge to triple triad - is to do the quest "Zombies need love too"
Which is apparently opened up via a main story quest that takes you to southern thanalan.
The quest also gives you the Cactuar minion.
Now, I purchased the ARR story skip. Which means the quests are no longer there. Which means I can't get the Cactuar minion, nor challenge Hap to triple triad to farm the Hildibrand card.
This makes me upset.
No where did I read when contemplating buying the ARR story skip that we'd be forgoing minions and chances at cards. I didn't care about the odd food or gear reward from quests, even if they might have been cosmetically unique. But I don't want to never be able to have the cactuar minion and the hildibrand card.
So please, fix whatever needs fixed so those of us who bought this can still attain such things

You just need to do a sidequest that starts in the Waking Sands first. You haven't missed out on anything.
