Dark Knight "glow"

Some dark knight friends of mine asked me to ask why the dark knight "glow" was removed and that they wanted it back. From what they showed me in a video the glow is a black and red fire at the base of their feet as well as the opaque red light flickering around the body, but now all they have is the opaque red light. Why was this changed?

they couldnt get it to work on the mounts so they removed the darkness.

Right on the mark. They also toned down Darkside's effect DRAMATICALLY since Heavensward.

The 3.0 beta Darkside effect not looking good on mounts is kind of a weak argument since WAR's wrath aura also looks weird on mounts.

they should just change the color from red to purple :O

purple is the appropriate color to depict black, so why is it red?

Why not both? (see Caladbolg Anemos weapon glow)

bcs the glow or more precisly the flames are not a temporaly effect like WARs ones and this upset the devs have DRK around with it all the time, apart of the mount isues as they claim they will need to adjust the flames on every mount and thats extra work i guess.

they reduce the glow of the 3.0 bcs it was annoying for some players and was something you cant hide except the DRK turn it off, and from my personal opinion the 3.0 and the actual effect its just ugly no matter how you look at it, its not make you more edgy like the dark flames but i doubt they want to change it.

This. I'd love a dark purple aura over the red. Both like the Anemos looks weird, especially on the AF3 which has no red.

Tbh this is one of my major arguments. They toned down Darkside's effect SO MANY TIMES. and Warrior's obnoxious swirling orange crap is unchanged since 2.0.

Revert the Darkside visual. Thanks

I'd love to have this Black flame yes.

The argument is that DRK can have his Aura whenever he wants and permanently in Cities. But It's very unfortunate to have this little Aura when you see others from jobs like Warrior's Wrath and Inner Release, Big Blue Aura from DRG Dragon Blood an so on.

Darkside feels very weak.

If they have so much of an issue with the flames looking weird, or whatever their argument is, on mounts, just make it so it deactivates while on them. End of the story, no Darkside effect while mounting.
