Next Tank - Giant Fan user

Seriously, BLU cannot be a tank but what is a new weapon or class that is viable? Have the weapon a giant fan (a la Temari from Naruto). Can use it to block or damage both close and far. What do you think?

While I'm not going to say it's incredibly likely, Sirens in the Ogre Battle series DID use fans, so it's not completely out of the question. However Sirens are also probably the least tanky job in the series...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't some "poles" in the Ivalice games just folded up fans?

Not too sure ...I haven’t played 12 in ages and never played tactics. But seriously, could a giant fan work for tank? So many saying dual swords (more swords....) or hammer (which could be a war weap) or something silly like a caster tank. But technically a fan user could really be a dark/war with a few more magic abilities a la pld

Btw ogre battle was amazing . I wonder if they will remaster this

I just cringe when people bring up BLU or DNC tanks (not that it’s wrong but it really just doesn’t logically make sense)

a staff, a spear without the tip, stick blunt weapon. could be more effective as tank weapon, immagine if the new tank does combos similar to monk's, with aggro combo adds mitigation effects, then dps combo for more potency buff, all have duration like 7-8 seconds, and aoes to have a party resistance up for few seconds

Blu's job is literally to get punched in the face to gain it's skills, it's the most likely tank job in a future expansion.

It would actually make alot of sense for blue mage to be the next tank, I mean BLU with a Red Icon? That would be a joke in itself! :P
