Yeah i said it it makes so much sense to me that he is a clone especially when you find out later on in the story. im 90 % sure on this.

Gotta read into the lore to figure it out and I can say with 100% certainty that this theory is incorrect, good guess though. Also gg posting spoilers.

Ooooor, Elidibus body snatched him and they brought the soul back before the body decomposed. Aulus already demonstrated they were researching a soul extraction method that in fact worked. I bet they were working on a mean to preserve the soul from departing after death and... so Zenos was brought back.

I thought echo users were tougher to kill. Like that sahagin in 2.2

Zenos knew he could be brought back he knew if they captured him they can blackmail the empire after all he is a clone while the real one has long been dead or hidden.

This honestly belongs to the lore forum and probably with a spoiler tag that aside they've shown us many hints about the echo and one of which is beign outside the cycle of life and death, which wouldn't surprise me if he was to be alive and well and now finding himself unable to die because like Fordola he now has to bear everything that comes with the echo with no way of really controlling it.

The Concept of spoilers is lost on you it seems.

let me further explain im saying that the zenos everyone knew has always been a clone of the original zenos who died from a illness as child his father was desperate to bring him back anyway he can. so they clone him but this was not original he was a monster as soon they all found the emperor realize it felt but could do nothing about it but keep the secret also zenos has no idea he is a clone.
