Should I just stick with mobs around my level in a good party to acquire Proteans? Joining the big FATE train is only giving me good exp and no items and I want a lot more Proteans to get armor upgrades....
I guess the issue is, I do also need the FATE to train to get exp and level up since there getting best of both worlds....
Since high level mobs give exp and no items.....

You can convert the NM Anemos crystals to the Protean ones at Gerolt.

NM Farming for Anemos and converting is by far the best way to get protean crystals, I got like 1300 in a couple days
