Keyboard and Mouse Inputs stop registering

Recently, in the last two weeks, I have had two occasions where FFXIV game stops registering any inputs from my mouse and my keyboard. None of the keyboard keys being pressed are registered and neither are mouse clicks. In order to close the game I have to use the Task Manager on Windows.

Closing the program and restarting it does not fix the problem. Logging in through the launcher is fine. However, once I get to the main menu "Start / Data Center / Options" my mouse clicks do not register.

I have to restart my computer to fix it.

This is most troublesome because this has happened to me while I have been in Duty Finder.

This is FFXIV in-game only. I can use other programs / browse the internet/ type in Discord fine. I can alt+tab to another program.

In game nothing registers.

A similar thing happened to me a bit ago. It was Discord's overlay feature causing issues. Once I turned it off things went back to normal.

I am having the same issue did anyone fine a solution?

I had a mouse issue, I currently had two mouse keys bound ctrl+9 and ctrl+2 after login after patch those buttons were not registering the 9 and the 2, it would only recognize the modifier ctrl, if you went into keybinds and you actually went to your hotbar number and field number where it is bound and you try to re-register it, you can see that it will only register the ctrl, I had to add another modifier in my Logitech software for it to work so ctrl+shit+9 and ctrl+shit+2. Not sure why things changed though,

This sounds like problem reported a few weeks ago. The above solution worked for a lot of people. If just disabling the Discord overlay does not solve it, try performing a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.
