How good is RDM for soloing?

So quickly as not to give a life story; getting a bit bored of this game and now Eureka seems to be a mega disappointment. I'm looking for a solo job I can pick up and play for an hour or 2 a week. Is RDM good at soloing? I know SMN is probably better buts a little slow paced for me. Is RDM an option or should I stick to PLD?

RDM is good for soloing. Self heals and high burst make ideal for soloing.

As far as I am aware it's the only job that has beaten POTD solo, so yeah, it's a pretty strong soloer...
