I love the squad duties, and have mastered most of them, but Copperbell Mines (Hard) seems almost impossible, unless you're tanking. I've tried running as DPS, and
my healer doesn't seem to be able to keep me alive since I'm constantly targeted by both the boss and the Kindling Spirit adds. I'm using the bombs, and I have decent gear for my level (ilvl 180 on a lvl 60 DRG). Am I missing something?
Honestly, the AI is atrocious and I prefer to do this on tank since I have more control over the run during trash pulls. Copperbell was a bit nightmarish. I use 2 Archers because they have the highest DPS output. Both are at offensive 5.
-During the first boss fight, I have control over the aggro, and I "engage" the adds first, letting the DPS burn them down quickly as I move the boss through the bridge. Focusing on the bombs when they spawn as top priority.
-Second boss, aggro doesn't matter, but on the one run I did, everyone died but me -.-
-Third boss, I let the archers tank once again, and I take care of feeding the worm. I aggro the adds and "engage" them to burn them down quickly, then re-engage the boss.
It sounds like a personal issue. As I've both healed and Tanked it several times. Either you don't pass the dps check, or you simply are at fault when it comes to dying in the dungeon. Now if you're wiping on the run, then its the healer's fault. Which can happen, but CBM on hard is pretty easy. If your woes come from dps'ing it, you mgiht want to get better gear. I would have to know what specifically you're wiping on.

SavageCipher, you are commenting on the squad dungeon and not the regular duty, right? First off, there's only one point in either dungeon with a) a boss b) Kindling Spirit adds and c) bombs that are used to damage the boss. That's where I'm having the issue. Thanks, Remedi. That's what I've resorted to, but due to the awful AI that Lilseph mentioned, the tank isn't much help in keeping the boss near the bomb while avoiding the other mobs. Maybe I'll just avoid this mission on anything other than tank.
It's slow going but I think just deal with sprites right away and handle the bombs when you can. Definitely can be annoying getting the squad to cooperate through dungeons like these. Pharos 2nd boss (Zu bird) can be hard with them too.
