There is now a delay between someone relinquishing a plot and when another person can buy. How long the delay is, is apparently random.
Also, you can have a private apt and a FC room and still buy a personal house, so that is not an issue.

Kinda terrible that the GM couldn't just tell you that it's the new random relinquish timer and had to make you post on the forums...

Our GMs leave a lot to be desired for the most part.

if a player is relocating then there's no wait, but for new purchases then you have to wait. camp it and don't fall asleep! you snooze you lose!

Who is this GM that keeps telling people to post on the forums?

Is it an auto reply or something?

FYI the Random timer checks every minute unlike demolition timer.

It is truly random and is not related to the devaluation timer thats on the placecard.

Ranges from a few minutes to 15+hrs, people say some 24hrs but havent been able to confirm that time.

I don’t know why there can’t be some sort of symbol on the house to tell people when it’s not yet available due to that timer. I appreciate the timer, the game is much better for it, but players will stand around and waste their play time then complain due to not knowing details like this, and I can’t disagree with those players that it’s not fun. If you know it’s not available to you yet and why, then you’re more likely to go do something more productive than clicking on the sign and getting errors until someone relocating comes and snatches it up from under you. And if it’s that person’s intention to camp it, then they’d be making that choice willingly rather than wondering why their character or the house is bugged.
