Animation Toggles

Hey everyone, so I know there are more pressing matters in the game right now like Eureka, DRK needing attention, etc.

But. I was bored switching through jobs today, and switched to Rogue, and I realized how much better I like the running animations for ROG than I do NIN. On a note related to this, for WAR and DRK, Rampart's aesthetic (aka PLD) does not fit quite as well as Foresight/Shadowskin did.

I'm sure this has been suggested before, but I'd like to suggest a chat command nonetheless; to turn the Ninja run/jump on and off, and to be able to "glamour" Rampart as a tank, much like Gauss Barrel and Egi glamour. Something like,

"/ninrun"
and "/crossroleglamour rampart shadowskin"

Would you guys like to see something like this?

Nah, instead I'd like to see more unique runs and stuff.

While I agree more unique animations would be pretty cool, doing something like making a toggle for animations that already exist is pretty much no work, and adds more variety to your options. For NIN in particulair I think it a waste not to have those used ever again after lv30.

Shadowskin (and to some degree Foresight) were also unique animations that I'm sure alot of people would like to see glamourable.

The NIN run is awesome. Everyone just call it the Naruto run cuz that's the popular thing and what they saw in the show when in reality, that run is a standard JP trope in animes.

I never even noticed that there was a difference in run animations between rouges and ninjas, but I definitely don't think there is anything wrong with the way they run now. I love it, and think it's one of the best run animations. I will agree that Rampart's animation is more fitting for GLA/PLD than it is for the other tanks. Esuna has a similar issue with the healers as it is fitting for WHM, but not for SCH or AST. Animation glamour could definitely be a very real thing, and I bet it wouldn't even be that hard to implement considering the animations for abilities like Shadowskin, Leeches, etc. are already in the game.

To be honest I think all the jobs need a little something to make their animations truly unique, whether it being running around or standing still.

Originally GLD could be two handed but this changed when ROG was introduced, and you can tell from the ROG animations. Though becoming NIN the animations change completely so it definitely shows that SE could make some tweaks. My first request would be to give either SCH or SMN a unique pose and run animation so they really feel different to each other rather than them both sharing the same ones. WHM and BLM stuff from the same run animation issues as well. Just small changes like that would look nice.
