New DPS Battlemage

armed with a Magitek Mace and Mortar using earth, wind, and water magic, who can use bombs up to 15y without a mortar and 25y with a mortar. who can dash in with advance to deal damage with their Mace from three combos dealing their elemental power and retreating to their mortar location and bomb the hell out of the enemy or enemies from a safe distance. they can have battle Cry that gives a 100% direct hit for the party, but increase only damage dealt for themselves. the weapons will be a set and you will be able to set up a mortar from any location. i want this job to have more melee skill than the Red Mage, and use combinations of bombs with a mortar to create unique spells.

Sounds like red mage, not sure why red mages positioning is something to be admired when Its a very shallow job at face value. Aside from a possible gun blade job, i don't think this style of play needs to be replicated. just make it a Magic Melee dps that is akin to how ninja can be considered a ranged melee dps through it's reliance on dex. give mnk/caster synergy
