A couple of question about Lyse and Hasvaelgar

So first off. I saw some Stormblood Trailer reaction yesterday. Before I got back into FF14, I thought Stormblood Cinematic was the intro to a dancer class. Most people thought the same.

How long did it take for square to clear up the confusion and say that's a monk?

As for Hasvaelgar, it just occured to me. He has a deep love with Shiva, yet... he also have a brood of his own...

Did he leave his wife for a young hot elven girl? Where is Hasvaelgar previou brood mate now? We killed Nidhogg one.

Tataru's choice of raiment for this lifelike recreation of Ala Mhigo's newest heroine was, by no means, made with the sole intention of confusing the public into believing Lyse was a dancer by profession. Honest.

That was Nidhogg's 2nd mate as his 1st was the one that started the war. Um, I'm not sure what happened to Hasvaelgar's orignal babymomma. I dont think there is enough info out there. I mean for all we know Nid, Hasvaelgar and Ratataskor (sp?) had an open relationship. Or he had fun with one of Tiamat's off spring. We still havent seen either of the missing two of the seven. We do know the Allagans were holding a 2nd great wyrm just that one excaped. One of them is a loner if you go off their outside of the game lore. The other one again going off their outside of game lore seems to be a HUGE jerk and likes to build damn/forts in rivers.

Heck we don't even know who Middy slept with to get those 7 eggs.

Well, I saw the scene where Valdolfnir said "Our sires bade us" Which mean more than one. Which mean a baby momma is still alive. Does that mean even though Hasvaelgar love shiva, he still mated with a dragon after?

One would imagine you can't make babies between the two.
But who knows, they CAN seem to take spoken form.

Hrasvelgr is pretty easy to clear up. Dragons in the FFXIV universe asexually lay eggs regardless of their gender or whether they have a brood mate. The reasons why dragons have brood mates is because they are incredibly long-lived and tend to go crazy if they remain isolated for too long (to the point where madness and loneliness are the same word in dragon language). From the sound of it, Hrasvelgr never had a brood mate before Shiva and with the way he talks about her, it sounds like Shiva's soul is still with his which is what Shiva wanted for the both of them.

You see another variation of this in the Lvl 70 DRG quests where one of Hrasvelgr's sons, Vedrfolnir, laid an egg and had a kid after his brood mate (one of Nidhogg's daughters) left Eorzea after Ratatoskr died so that Nidhogg wouldn't force her to attack Ishgard. You end up finding her in the Steppes having gone crazy from loneliness and resisting Nidhogg's call. Fortunately, seeing Vedrfolnir restores her to sanity and she and Vedrfolnir get one of the cutest "Get a room!" scenes with Vedrfolnir's kid.

Also, so how long was the monk mistaken for a dancer thing last? A couple of months?

Well when Stormblood came out and she never changed to Dancer and we never got a new job, it was pretty much set.

And the minion that came with it confirmed it with the description I mentioned.

you're thinking of vidofnir. vedrfolnir is the white twintania reskin.

Two of Hrasvelgr's kids have very similar names. Vidofnir, who lives in Anyx Trine (and was speared by Nidhogg/Estinian), is female. Vedrfolnir, the dragon you see fighting against Darkscale in several Churning Mists FATEs (and who is ridden by Aymeric), is male.

General things to clear up: Ratatoskr was Hraesvelgr and Nidhogg's sister, but not their brood mate. Out of all the Midgardsomr's children, she was the one who traveled the most and was most fond of humans. She was even the one who let slip that the life-force of a dragon is in their eyes... The only reason why Hraesvelgr didn't join in Nidhogg's war against Ishgard is out of respect for the relationship he had/still has with Shiva. He's mad enough at Ratatoskr dying that he pretty much ignores what Nidhogg is doing. It's only when Midgardsomr says Nidhogg is too far gone that he gives the WoL a chance at all.
