Interactive item housing permissions.

I would first and foremost like to have interactive objects modified through a housing menu, as this would solve the issue we just had as the person would have received an error trying to make modifications. If not that, we absolutely need some kind of permission lock down on interactive item access. Someone just came through our fc as a lvl 1 with no permissions other than entering the house and removed all the flowers from vases and all the pictures from picture frames. It's not a big loss (had the chest locked down luckily, I'm sure that would have been emptied as well otherwise), but it's an issue that needs to be dealt with.

Edit: Just to clarify and not cause extra worry, this still requires the person to have fc/tenant access to the house. Just having guest access so anyone off the street can come in and view the house will not allow them to mess with your interactives.

Wow, I never even considered something like that happening. Could be rough for FCs that aren't as well off, considering that some of those paintings and flowers are hard to get/expensive. And then wallpapers on blank partitions...

When people remove flowers and pictures it’s so annoying. Like why? What exactly do you achieve? Or disposing of fish from the fish tanks like why? I just don’t understand why people do this? It’s not like they can sell the items? If they don’t have permissions to remove finishing or edit furnishing they shouldn’t be able to touch those objects.

Unfortunately there's some people that do things like this solely to cause grief, because they're presumably very bitter people.

Consider this yet another reason why we need an interactive item toggle.

I believe this particular person has alts on various servers and has been around pulling this nonsense for years now. They just love doing it because it gets a rise out of people and apparently they can get away with it. Anything destructive they can do in a short period of time (emptying anything they have access to from interactive objects to the company chest) they'll do it and then be off to their next victim.

Sorry that happened to you. I don't quite understand why vases and picture frames would need to be interactive outside of the housing menu anyways. Those things should only be viewable to people who don't have decorating privileges, there's no good reason why randoms would need to interact with them in the first place.

Honestly, locking all interactive items that don't 'interact' outside of decorating mode should just be common sense. Picture frames, vases, fishtanks, wallpaper should only be accessible via special command in decoration mode. And even after that, interactables should have a toggle - we always have grade 3 XP buffs priming, I'd hate for someone to grab that and either take it or pop it.

I forgot for a moment that the wheels actually do have permission requirements and ran to check on them. Still in tact, whew! :D

Seriously, I found this out a few days ago when a friend new to the game deleted my flowers while I was decorating the FC house :mad: Luckily it was more comical than malicious but it was still jarring to realize they could do that with little permissions. My guess is they don't differentiate between flowers/paintings and other things like summoning bells/lamps so they're lumped together.

I think the real kick in the teeth is that, not only do they usually not have the foresight on stuff like this (remember the rank promote/demote tragedies?), but there's no rules in set to protect FCs from this.

Also, it would be really awesome if these interactive items had a sub menu like dying furniture and were no longer considered interactive furnishings. We really do have too many interactive items.
