I've been playing since 3.0 and I gotta say, it's first primal I didn't need to watch a guide for. And when I play BRD, I literally just feels like I can run and shoot and he's dead lol

The devs were too distracted by his nekkidness to develop a harder fight. I know I needed a moment.
Nah, I'd still say Shiva was easier.
They had to make it easy to combat the annoyingness of the falling. It was cool the first time, the second it wasn't bad, but by fall #56 you want to throttle someone.
I think both Susano and Lakshimi were way easier than any other ex primal.
Nah. Lakshmi was easier imo. I went in that 100% blind and passed it with only one or two people explaining the fight to the rest of us.
I was a bit surprised you said this, but then again I had to look at what strengths/weaknesses each job offers, because ranged have a real bonus in this fight, and even more so for a BRD/MCh to move and attack.
Having to hard cast as a RDM puts me in very bad spots, so i had to learn where the safest spots where, depending on where we are in the fight.
For the orbs, being far away is easy to cast giving u a tiny bit of time to move after a cast, which would be harder on BLM.
But the next phase, its too dangerous to be that far away because the boss will target entire sections between the dropped markers, leaving no direction safe to run w/o sprint (which is commonly on CD at that point)
So the safest spot to cast, is near the middle, where the orbs are coming from, leaving u the smallest sliver of time to cast and move. (Dunno what BLM does here honestly.)
And of course the melee combo is ready when he leaps into place u cant go, making it a sorta 50-50 if its a good idea to chase him or not, and when u do, its no picnic.
Anyways, I found laksmi a joke as a caster, little to no mechanics to deal with, and having enough room to get orbs etc.
I just sat still pew pewing, and grabbed an orb on occasion.
This isnt to say Byakko cant be easy, just that BRD/MCH have it the best for that fight, and then I'm not sure who would be next, probably tank. (If I mess up as tank, i can just mitigate through an erryors)
It never occurred to me just how easy Byakko would be if i could move and shoot the whole time, and I agree, that sounds ludicrously easy.
Byakko's mechanics aren't that easy, It just doesn't punish you for failing them at all. You can kepe failing and failing until he dies before you do. Other easy primals at least had one or two situacions where they could kill people that did something wrong. The fact you can ignore its actual hardest mechanic with tank LB3 also helps so much.
Try playing it on a melee job, its a hell of a lot more annoying :P
