Proboy abuse in dungeons.

Our fairly new FC has gained quite a lot of active members and I started the idea that we could start pony farms etc. It became apparent that very few members were either a tank or healing class. Many members said they would love to take up the role but we’re afraid of the abuse they might get from proboys when doing dungeons.
This saddens me greatly, Ive personally had abuse from proboys and also crownboys which I thought were supposed to be mentors.

Not all of us are 15 year olds with lightnig fast reactions some like me are getting nearer 50 and have a life to run. Some of us are new and don’t know any better. Even those who have been playing for years might roulette a dungeon they haven’t seen for months.

So to all you proboys and crownboys please go easy on those who aren’t quite getting it. Be helpful and not abusive. People really are being put off by this.

If you really care about them, then as an FC leader jump in the dungeons with your members and train them in the healer/tank role. It's far more productive to do this, than whine about potential situations on the forum.

I agree on this. the forums are not going to help him / her at all

If they have squadron members that they have been leveling at all it's pretty easy to get to 50 using just that. But if they want to learn as they go, then really, forming premade groups to level seems like the best bet. And unless everyone has all of their dps classes leveled up people can probably use the opportunity to dungeon spam a bit for those classes as well.

I’m not the FC leader. I will help anyone inside or outside the FC whenever I can and do so pretty much all the time now.
My post was intended as a plea to stop abusing those less able that you rather than a whine.

Usually, if a person speaks up and says that they are new to tanking or healing, or that it is their first time tanking or healing a particular piece of content, people will generally be more patient with them, but not always. Some people will continue to be rude (mentor and non-mentor alike), and there isn’t much that you can do other than remove them from the party if they are that disruptive, or report them when you get out if they said something truly malicious.

Well unfortunately things won't always go smoothly and as a tank or healer u need to have a thicker skin. You will get advice thrown at you sometimes in a nice way and others not so nice. You need to learn to either listen to that advice or ignore it. Because at the end of the day the person offering that advice is human also and might have ran into x amount of bad players prior and just had enough.

Also just like to point out, you will find that a very large percentage of the population are 20+ years old. That includes myself the whole lightning reflexes comment is daft lol

Hmm... when you're nearing 50 I kinda expect you to have more maturity and be able to brush off childish comments from jerks. You know there'll always be jerks who will take their life's baggage out on anyone at any given opportunity. And then there are chill ones who just nudge you or are actually helpful. Never hurts to reach out to more experienced players for tips or demos. And there's YouTube for rotations and dungeon guides. Are there cross server LS already? I'd run with you guys from my server if possible.

Talk to me in another 20 years lol you might understand. My eyesight amongst other things are not what they were half my life ago. There are people of course who are quite young but sadly suffer some form of ailment making them less able also.

Don't mean to be awful but just like in real life if you get to the point where you get too old to do something you retire. I'm nearly 40 myself and if I got to the point where I was slowing others down or affecting their enjoyment of the game then I would stop playing.

As for other disabilities there's a guy that plays this game with his damn feet :P
