stroke of genius problem

After patch 4.2, I changed one of my specialists to CUL. After equipping the soul crystal I try to craft things as CUL but have found that I am not getting stroke of genius. Tried unequipping and re-equipping soul crystal but have the same problem.

Stroke continues to work on my ALC specialist, and also works on my GSM specialist (which I changed to in order to test whether that might randomly fix the problem).

Tried reporting bug in game last week but have not received any responses and it hasn't been resolved since maintenance.
