War need advice for rotation.

Hello, I pretty much new to the game and have a lot to learn about the class still :).
I have been looking for a rotation for MT and OT with "fillers", when IR is on CD for example.I would be glad if there is anyone to give me a hand on that. :P

for WAR there is nothing much, when IR is on cooldown you can use FC and your other abilities, there is no need to hold them back unless there is a mechanic that is coming up where you won't be able to IR. Basically, if you have a good team, your IR and Trick and BH will be up together. Other than that go ham.

Actually, there's a bit more to it than just that...

You need to use Thrill of Battle before using Upheaval, if you want to maximize your DPS. It will only boosts one every 2 minutes or so, but it's still worth it. Use Upheaval on CD, basically, except if you get your IR in less than 20 seconds. If you use it then, you won't be able to use it in IR... If, for whatever reason, you are in Defiance and Upheaval is ready, don't refrain to use it, it actually does more damage in Defiance. Use Onslaught whenever you're far from the boss and you need to maximize your uptime, so be sure to have at least 20 in your gauge before wandering around. Never use Onslaught, except for that and during IR, between two FCs.

And for the love of whoever you love, don't do that "8 FCs in a row" garbage. Not every time, at least. You actually should use Fell Cleave whenever possible so the CD on Infuriate is lowered, and pretty much use Infuriate whenever it's off CD. So, if you're in IR with 100 gauge, and Infuriate has <35 seconds CD, you'll actually have it off CD when you're gauge is still at 100, so using it won't do you any good, and will just be a waste. Basically, have your rage at 50 or below before going into IR, so you don't waste too much of your Infuriate. In that case (Infuriate with less than 35 seconds CD, 100 gauge), just Fell cleave once so you're at 50, and then use IR. You'll gain a few seconds on Infuriate's CD next time. Because yeah, we're a burst tank, but that doesn't mean we're most efficient when we're just going ape...

Do you also need some tips for your opener ?

Well, I did not go into that much detail, as I felt that since he is new it might be too much for him to handle. I personally think, he should know the opener, but only if he is comfortable with switching stances and knowing the correct way to switch, not just switching because that is what everyone else does. Sorry I cant get pictures to work here I always mess it up.

Sure, that's a lot, and I think it's maybe a bit too much for a beginner. Still, whenever he'll have a question, he may come back here, read it again, and maybe, as he progresses, he'll understand more of it. Also, phrasing it that much is, I think, better for him to understand. But yeah, maybe that was still a bit much x)

An easy rule I follow is to always keep 50 point on my bar, unless Infuriate is about to come off cooldown (about 5 seconds). Other than that, I keep using Storm's Path unless I have to refresh the Storm's Eye buff. If my next skill will bring me over 100 points, I use a Fell Cleave. Use Upheaval whenever it's up, unless Inner Release is about to come off cooldown.

Oh and don't use Inner Release if you have more than 50 points on your bar. Use a Fell Cleave first. Unless you JUST used Infuriate. Then it's fine. :D
