[Suggestion] Epic spell that need TP to cast. Do you need it?

I think that part of the reason that FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX were in the booming season for the series are from their epic spells/summons graphic. ( I wanna skip out FFXI~FFXIII because it went little off the trend) I think that what FFXIV really need are kind of cool-epic spells that will let people says "wow!" when they first seen it.

However, the epic spell shouldn't be too easy to use. It should have some additional requirement such as TP (so that you can use this only if you not use Second wind often) or very long cool down and huge MP consume (but I dislike this idea, because it will be too similar with 2 hours ability)

Personally I think it is nice for mage to have some other use for TP other than just saving for second wind. But any choice will do it, if SE would bring us some epic spells graphic into the game. ^^

I can see it's uses. Still, then we need some way to build tp since with jobs we'll probably lose invigorate

Not like a mage can't run into the fight and wack away at the mob for a minute to get full tp.

That would make the spell that more epic lol. Mage risks getting AoE'd or hit, mage gets to use powerful spell.

thats actually a good idea..... more battle dynamics like that could be a great thing. just i think more classes/jobs (whatever) could do well with having more dynamics attributed to them just like this

I don't think it's going to get much support tbh, SE already removed all TP skills from mages (well, the only one, their basic attack) so I don't see them adding TP requirements for some spells. As for graphic effects, yes that was what made me try FF out back then. They did say they're going to overhaul the effects in 2.0 I think, so there is at least hope for that.

Which is why I don't like the forums. All the good constructive threads are in the right place lol

tp siphon........

Would be really cool if they implement that. I wouldn't mind if the spell doesn't do crazy damage, but at least something cool looking prz. If not at least give mage an incentive to risk things and go melee for more dynamic than one spot casting.
