Issue is take 1 item, Palladium Nugget. If someone uses their retainers to make 100 listings of that item. The game no longer displays anything after 100 listings of an item. We do not have the ability to hit "Next Page" to see more listings for that item.
How to reproduce the issue.
Look for an item that has a lot of sellers.
Now list an item 100 times. (So 100 seperate listings for that one item) say list them all for 1 gil (Example). Then go check the market board. You will ONLY see your listings for the 1gil. You will not see any other sellers. This effectively corners the market board and prevents any other sellers from being seen for that item thus denying their right to sell.

The cheapest price still has priority as far as I'm aware. And people generally prefer buying items for the cheapest price available.

Not only that, say you flood the 100 listings with the NQ of an item. You wont see the HQ listings for that item unless you know about the advanced filter and say HQ listings only. However 80% of the MB users dont know this.. so they only assume its just the NQ in stock from that one person. So yea, and like MistakeNot said. What if it was flooded with 100+ listings of "10" stack items... many people want 99 if they are craft grinding etc. They would never see that listing.

IMO it's a problem with the way the market works in that you can't split stacks.
If I put 99 ingots up for sale for example. then a buyer must either buy all 99 or buy a smaller stack from someone else... they can't just buy 1 or 10 or the exact number they need from the stack that i'm selling and I think that's crazy. it's like going into a supermarket to buy a lemon and being told you cant have one unless you buy the whole crate load.
this is why the markets often get flooded with people listing 1 item 20 times all individually.
1.2 had agreat system where sellers could choose to either sell as a complete stack or allow buyers to buy just what they need and something like that would be great for the markets as players woulnt need to flood with 100 listings of just 1 item.
that would then drop 100 listing of an item down into 4 or 5 listings perhaps -

02-14-2018, 12:52 AMDzianagain 1.2 had an option for sellers that allowed items to only be sold in complete stacks. so if they put that option back those sellers would still be able to put up bulk delas and stuff. selling 50 for 3k each but you must by all 50. or sell 50 for 5k each but players can buy any amount they need.Quote:
