This would overpower the ability. No MP cost would be fine, but 225 is way too much, considering similar instant cast spells are only around 100 potency or are Red Mage spells that use Dual Cast.
Then it wouldn't line up properly with Triplecast when you need movement.

Then it can't line up with ANY buff. Also, 5 seconds is a ridiculously tiny decrease from the 180s cooldown it has. Like, why have it so small a decrease? There's no point.
This is a reasonable one, though I'd suggest raising it to 280 to match Fire IV's base potency.
Kinda reasonable, though I personally don't see the need for Blizzard III's potency to be raised.
enochian is now a passive/trait, active once you had astral fire/umbral ice, 5% damage increase at 1 astral fire/umbral ice and 10% at 3 stack, not not sure how much at 2 (maybe 7%?)
leyline should be a self buff instead of location buff, many late boss/raid require you to move around to avoid aoe/mechanic, no change on effect.
lower thunder skill cast time to 1.5 or at least when it proc it change to OGCD skill

Why people are playing BLM if it ends up having so much insta cast that's it won't be a turret anymore.
I mean... that's the "challenge" with this class. Find the good spot and optimizing your movment because of your long cast.
They already fixed that "lack of mobility option" with the TP at 10s and giving blm triplecast.
Besides, even if scathe had no mp cost, it would still be useless to waste a gcd on this with (especially with the proc that now lasts for 18s).
Reducing Convert by 5s wouldn't change anything sice you'll need to be at the end of your Fire rotation to use it and cast those 2 extra Fire IV.
Some players already showed how powerful BLM can be with 4.2 buffs.
Give us Focus from FF10 (and other FF's). It's a party caster buff (potency and maybe accuracy too) that can be stacked up to 3 times. Then maybe the bitching about how we can't take advantage of other buffs will be replaced with bitching about how OP caster parties are now. ;)
Why would you make a trait that interact with a cross role skill?
Not that i'm expecting it but, what if they'd actually give us much more interesting choice in the future? You should choose your skills because they're good not because you have a trait that interacts with it.
I think BLM has more than enough mean to keep a good uptime with its current tools.
The only thing BLM needs is less clipping (especially on Sharpcast) and that could be done by reducing animation lock or allowing you to start the next cast while doing the said animation.
Perhaps a duration and CD reduction to leyline to 60sec to line up with most other CD and simply make it easier to use. It's easier to stay in place 20sec per min than 30sec per 1.5min
30sec is a bit overkill imo.
Finally, beside perhaps another buff to FireIV to reach 300 potency to be worth the slot of the infamous "selfish dps" (And i'm not even sure it's actually needed)
I would like to see Enochian reset the duration of AF/UI.
This would make Enochian usable more than once after pull and transition.
I also think the risk reward could be interesting. Like, you would (i suppose) gain dps by doing Enochian instead of FireI even with a bit of clipping, but then doing this on CD would also put you at risk of not having Enochian up if you were to loose it for any reason.
I would like convert to also stop hurting us, it's annoying.
Finally, I would like Foul dmg OR charge time to scale up with haste because I want it to do even more dmg \o/ (seriously assuming we need a tiny winny bit mor buff, I'd like the potency to be gained from this skill. I want bigger numbers!)
Regarding Scathe it doesn't need a potency boost. It needs a complete rework this skill is pure garbage and doesn't even fit into the BLM toolkit.
This is purely personal but I'd like Scath to do something like this:
Scathe : Damaged unchanged (or even removed for all I care)
Grants a buff/Apply debuff, increasing the damage of your next fire or fireIV spell by X%. Stacking up 3 times.
It should obviously be a dps loss to use it vs standing still and casting FireIV
It should only be used when no spell can be casted while moving
It should be a marginal for of substained dps while moving like RuinII is for SMN (as an example)
And you know what, actually they should remove Scathe and implement the nice Freeze suggestion (to make it work like an AoE BlizzIII)
This would be very nice (with a visual update it looks weak as hell)
Mentioned before but I'd just like to see the enochain button refresh the duration of the current astral fire / umbral ice timer to max
Male it a bit more usefull overall. If your down to 2 seconds would allow you to not transpose and keep the buff active.
Also be useful mid rotations as well where it could be used instead of fire 1 to increase the fire 4 burst a little bit.
For BLM I would like to see 2 changes.
1) Fire IV Potency raised to 300
2) Enochian reseting AF/UI
If those two were to be implemented it would make me extremely happy.
About Raid Buffs...well I don't much care since BLM (if they implement these changes) can raise his numbers and therefore become a viable option.
You mean for 5.0 ? Cause I don't know if it's a translation gimmick or what, but seemed to me BLM is done for the expansion from what he said...
They said no new skils for 4.x in general and no support skills for BLM
