Let's say you strip down to undies for bed in your cozy FC room, then when you log back in, suddenly, you're on the front porch wearing nothing but a two-piece. Like some sort of exhibitionist for the neighbors. Can we make it so logging out of FC room and getting back into the game is like the Inn? Not kicking us out of the house.
Probably not. There are Reasons(TM) why any time you log out inside a house you are outside when you log in again.
For example - the house may have been destroyed in the meanwhile, or if you logged out inside someone else's house they may have changed permissions so no visitors are allowed any longer.
Probably many more scenarios which can lead to trouble - so to avoid them all you get put outside the house when you log out - the outside are isn't going anywhere.
They mentioned during a live letter once how the housing instances work. They basically create each instance every time new as soon as you enter it, as soon as you leave it, it is no longer available. It probably helps them keeping server pressure low. The inn cant be modified, it is not unique, so it isn't a big of a problem to relog there.
They could probably create an extra "bedroom" instance within your house that is unique similar to the inn room which lets you enter your fc house again, but there would be loading times still too, you just wouldn't be outside. Or maybe just stop the erp.
I understand your point... if you are that kinky and you only log for the role playing kinky side of the game... you want to be able to take off where you left off. Thumbs up to that idea :D
