Final Fantasy 7 Remake Fate

With the upcoming F7 Remake it'd be nice to see a Fate event like when they did Lightning's.
Maybe they could make it so every class gets some style of Clouds buster sword as a reward.

Dark, Warrior, Samurai get classic Buster Sword (FF7 style)
Paladin, RDM get the Advent Children style sword.
Dragoons get the Advent Children style sword with a long handle so its like a lance.
Ninja gets both but smaller.
Mages and healers get an energy staff while the classic FF7 sword perminately rests on their back.
Monks get energy around their fist while the Advent Children sword stays on their back.
Summoner, the card user class have a broken FF7 sword style.
Gunner class has an energy gun while the FF7 sword rest ontheir back.

And with the actual weapons are equip the level three Limit Break is changed to Omnislash for every class, healer, DPS, and tank alike.

Well, all we know is that a FFVII-crossover event is highly likely (Yoshi is on record as saying FFVII is one of his favourite FF games), just what that event will involve is mere speculation at the moment. Likely though it probably would be different to the FFXIII event. As for items/gear given, as long as I can gain Aeris's dress, boots and staff I'll be happy. :)

Also the Buster Sword is technically already in the game, as the animation for the melee Level 2 Limit Break (which is, of course, Cloud's Braver Limit Break from FFVII), so sadly I don't see that being added as a weapon - even if it was, it would almost definitely go to DRK not SAM, given they already have Cloud's victory pose as the /vpose animation for the Job and their weapon type is great swords like what Cloud usually equipped (yes I know Cloud also had access to two katana in FFVII, but he wielded them like regular great swords so they really don't count).

That's why i have the different setups for how each style would play out. FF& being one of the most popular FF games to date it would be criminally idiotic to just have it on one class. Even if it was used like i posted for each class but for glamour purposes it would still be very highly welcomed.
The mistake they made with the Lightning one was trying to make the different weapons rather then different variations of Lighting sword. People wanted her sword more then anything else. I still remember Warriors and the healers posting here because they couldn't get it even if it was just a decoration item and not an actual weapon.

If they were to do a remake fate for potential weapon purchases, they ideally should focus around the entire cast rather than just Cloud.
MCH get either Vincent themed guns which is pretty much already a thing with some guns, I would love a barrett advent children gun arm though, or missing score, even mr azure behemoth studs rail cannon:P the avalanche guns or soldier guns are good too
Pugs could get Tifas styled fists like god hand, or even premium heart, perhaps even the punching glove for barrett?:
Cnj, Princess guard or some alike, the staves she got were pretty cool, even adding in the white materia on some part?:
Rogue could already borrow from yuffie with some of her weapons, mostly shelks weapons too
Arc could defo go from like...The guide book to pay homage to those that went for the underwater materia etc
Samurai could get the yoshiyuki from Rocket town, masamune(though I am also tied to think DRK for here too due to length and how difficult lore makes it out to be handled), etc
Gld could get the advent children sword, where drk could either have original buster, or perhaps even something like rune blade or even renos electrocuting rod ?:
Maurauder could defo defo defo get the nail bat, like I cant even stress how funny that'd be
Lancers could get either the mop, or even cids end game spear, he could even pass up the dragon themed lance etc
AST could perhaps borrow some form of theme from bugenhagen like style after the planet globe system, maybe even Cait Siths megaphone themed?:
THM could get something black materia themed or meteor themed sorta like the star dust rod however more playing on the advent children rednering of the monument
RDM....hmmm perhaps.. something themed around the weapons or something?: maybe even give them the black or white materia or both plus a unique sorta rapier?: or something though renos rod would probably suit more there?:
now that leaves bard..... perhaps rossos weapon?:

Lot of good ideas JockHarley, there is just one thing i wanna tackle from all that, the RDM (I'm a RDM main so naturally.) The reason i suggested for the one i did in my post, the Advent sword, is it looks similar to the Ironworks Magitek Degen, but i do love the idea of the crystal being a Materia. Having a small marble for the Ether crystal would be as close to having none as we would get. (Most of them look horrible..)

As for the rdm part, i totally get you, I main that too^^

Which materia would gfo well, got a rough idea on size or style perhaps?:

Basic marble size, stay true to FF7 lore. As for style that would be an interesting place to go, it could be a multi color style. Like have it change based off of which spell you cast, Verfire: red, Verthunder: purple, Veraero: sky blue, Verstone: yellow, Vercure: green, an Verraise: white.

Materia is already in FFXIV though so that doesn't work.

But I'll play along with my own ideas about what FFVII weapon could be used for what class/Job (and I'm sticking to 'one weapon type for one Job', so no multiple Buster Swords across different Jobs I'm afraid, because that would just be silly ;)). ALso there are more classes than there are characters in FFVII (or at least, the original), so I'm going to have to be inventive here.

Also I'm using weapons throughout the entire Compilation, not just FFVII (as the FFXIII event did the same):

GLA/PLD: the sword the random SOLDIER troops carried in FFVII (with matching Shinra trooper riot shield) - maybe as a name 'Shinra Alpha' (for the sword) and 'Shinra Beta' (for the shield), puns on the armour of the same name from FFVII? ;)
PGL/MNK: either Tifa's Leather Knuckles (her starting weapon) or Barret's Rocket Punch weapon?
LNC/DRG: Cid's Spear (maybe call it 'Engineer's Spear'?)
ARC/BRD: Red XIII's Spring Gun Clip weapon (which was a ranged weapon), to compensate for no bows being used in FFVII (maybe have Red XIII's feathers decorating it?)
MRD/WAR: a variation on Cid's Halberd? ('Engineer's Halberd'?)
CNJ/WHM: Aeris's Guard Stick or Princess Guard (although the Parasol would be good too ;)
THM/BLM: Aeris's Aurora Rod or Wizard Staff
ACN/SMN/SCH: believe it or not, Cait Sith's Megaphone (or rather, it folds out into a laptop, much like the ACN FFXIII weapon does)
ROG/NIN: Yuffie's 4-Point Shuriken (or rather, a smaller, double version)
DRK: NOT the Buster Sword (as that is already the melee lvl 2 Limit Break), but instead, either the next sword Cloud gained in FFVII (the Hardedge, which a famous piece of propaganda art for FFVII actually shows him holding), or the 'First Sword' from FFVII Advent Children (which would go with his 'Strife' gear that is already in the game)
MCH: Vincent's Cerberus pistol from FFVII Dirge of Cerberus (as his starting FFVII pistol, Quicksilver, is already the name of a gun for MCH in FFXIV)
AST: a planetary globe of the Planetarium at Cosmo Canyon (you know, the place you leave the Huge Materia at)
RDM: Genesis's rapier from FFVII Crisis Core('Loveless Rapier' as a name perhaps? The sword was unnamed in FFVII CC)
SAM: either Cloud's Yoshiyuki Katana or that double-bladed Souba Kadaj weilded in Advent Children, as the Masamune (and the Murasame too for that matter) are reoccuring katana in the series and are most likely being held in reserve for the Job later on.

Of course, it might be something totally different or we may not even get a FFVII crossover event - Yoshi might decide to change his mind on that. But it's still fun to come up with these ideas anyway. :)

No matter how he does it to by pass such a major lunch as a game like FF7, which people have been wanting a remake to since the launch of PS3, would be the biggest mistake the development team could make. Not only that but due to the Lighting cross over it would no doubt tick A LOT of people off.
We'll just have to wait and see i guess.
