PS4 Movement Issue

I've reinstalled the game, had this issue since before Stormblood expansion released, restarted the console, works with any charge level on the controller, cleaned the controller. Does not bug other PS4 games that require L2 to trigger an action.

Frequency: Often, not constant; can be triggered to show in-game people.
World name: Sargatanas (Hyperion)
Character name: Lien Caelum (Lancetti Luminaire)
Party or solo: Both
Location: All / Any. Occurs in ARR locales and Shirogane housing area (I do not have access to HW and SB, but I'm a house mate who's house is in Shirogane so I know it occurs there.)

Steps:
1. PS4 Controller. Face slightly left, or full left. Legacy controls. Standard pre-setup. Macros deleted (I only have 1 macro on R3 for sprint, and L3 for sit), no keybind. Button config, auto-run is L1+L.
2. Press L2 to trigger L2 cross hot-bar, and do not move camera
3. Character walks LEFT. If allowed to continue, character will walk in perfect circle, size determined seems to be based on the zoom of the camera
4. Stop. Move around and Press L2 while facing front. Do not move camera.
5. Character repeats motion of #3. There is a chance that only or two steps will occur, enough to stop Casting a spell (ie. Cure / Blizzard 3), but instant spells will occur (ie. Diversion).
6. Stop. Move around and press L2 while facing front or slightly right.
7. It has happened, character will turn and walk LEFT, repeating motion from #3.
8. Stop and move around to a different point on the map.
9. Press L2 while facing front / mostly any direction.
10. It has happened, though less chance, character will repeat motion from #3.
11. Press L2 while facing front / slightly left or fully left, moving camera.
12. The size of the circle the character walks in / in direction character walks seems dependant on the camera's direction.
13* Character does not run. Character only walks. While L2 is held down and this bug is happening, the L2 side of the crossbar is accessible.
14* Releasing L2 at any point stops the walking motion.
