Valentine's Day event fortunes

So, do the fortunes have any lore behind them?
What I've found with 2 sets of characters.

Love (your Patron deity & partner's birth month?)

Byregot & 1st month
Azyema & 7th month
Resulted in 3/3(?) maxed affinity.

Thaliak & 1st month
Halone & 7th month
Resulted in 1/3 worst affinity.

Even looking at their relations, I'm not quite seeing how the results came to be.

Is it merely based on the presumption that a god of wisdom and knowledge wouldn't mix well with a goddess of war?
Further a god of arts and a goddess of the sun and inquiry mix apparently well together? Wielding a two-headed hammer (armorer? maybe blacksmith?) requiring fire (element of Azeyma) to create and/or the sun providing light for creation? :confused:

Resulted in 1/3 worst affinity. Like why?

I think they've improved on the algorithm for this event compared to the first time they did it, as my character's fortune was far more favourable (and accurate!) than the first time around. I've only done the fortune reading once for this year's event with my boyfriend (our characters are a married couple), but the improvement in our fortune readings was a very nice surprise. :D

For Love, where as the previous year stated Enki's wife Jing is a 'coldfish' (which is not accurate in the slightest!), this year it was the complete opposite, that they were "meant to be together" and that "such a match only comes around once an era!" - naturally we were very pleased with this result (and yes, that is extremely accurate).

Companionship funnily enough although resulted in a negative result, it was again accurate (saying we were both terrible crafters and that it was because of the Twelve conspiring against us - no doubt the game simply checked our crafting class levels and made that assumption accordingly - accurate as it is (I hate crafting and find it boring).

And as for Fortune, where as the previous year I was basically told in no uncertain terms to go and do my anima weapon quest (which I still haven't done incidentally! I especially decided not to then and there just to spite that fortune teller!), this time it said we should go and do botany and clad ourselves in the colours of the landforms of our starting cities - green for Enki (who started in Gridania), which is naturally the colour of the forest of the Black Shroud, and yellow for my bf's character Jing (who started in Ul'dah) the colour of Thanalan's sand should be fairly obvious. ;) Hence that one pretty much just took whatever city you started in and determined the 'fortune' accordingly.

Either way, I was quite pleased with how the accuracy of it has improved now - especially confirming what me and my boyfriend already know - that we are meant to be. :D

As far as I can tell its purely random, sorry ;D

My boyfriend and I tried it on to different days - both times on the same classes and obviously our names, namedays and patron deities didnt change - and we got different results.
We got the same results each time we tried it on the first day though - so it seems as if its "fixed" for a couple for one day (or probably til one of them re-logs or something) and gets recalculated when you re-log or something like that.

Just did this a bunch of times with my wife. Disbanding and remaking the party before flagging the quest again gave us different results every time and we were able to get all three possibilities from each fortune teller in a few minutes.

Its completely random. x) I tried it with someone, got the angel on each fortune...a few days later we went at it again and we got the worst ones in two of them..and a three in one. Also the deity was not that important since I got two completely different fortunes even though the two people had the same diety.
