Another idea to improve DRK

Like many other DRK players I'm disappointed over the lack of love for our skillset.
I feel like DRKs are behind WAR and PLD, having tried them both up to compare. A fix I'd like to see would be more selfhealing...but PLD has the Spells, and WAR and DRK share the healing by hurting.

Suggestion: Using Dark Arts with defensive CDs gives us a Heal over Time. Make Shadow Wall the most effective would solve the problem we have with it not being up to par with the other tanks, but not just scaling the effect or CD.
Dark Mind would also see alot more use with a little healing thrown in.

Thats my suggestion, could it work? What makes it not work? Comments welcome.

(Also like other DRK i'd love to see better defensive CD, more bite to our Dark Passenger, faster locked animations, less need to keep the mana pool under a hawk/eagle/beholder eyes.(ect ect) But I'd like to see more focused discussions, as i hear those are more noticeable by the developers)

that's even more double weaving and dps-loss. for every self heal drk will lose 140 potency of damage. and he already has the lowest dps of all tanks :/

They just need to remove potency changes from DA.
Make all DA changes to effects and cooldowns.
Modify potencies on syphon and SE to account for this.
Make DP free and DA causes the blind.
DRK should not have to give up all its defense just to do the same or less DPS than WAR or PLD.
If we are giving up our defenses to deal more DPS we should be doing more than the other tanks not less.
Right now DRK is the worst at everything. Only tank without Knockback protection. Only tank without raid cooldowns.
Yet we still have less defense and less dps than WAR.
It amazes me SE have just blatantly ignored DRK while it is in such awful shape.
"I don't know why people don't play DRK" Really YP? REALLY? Check your forums mate. We explain it about 50 times.
