Will plots ALWAYS be open until a week?

I just thought of something. I found a plot that was open to relocation, so someone bought it. And another plot opened up. No one can buy the plot except relocation, due to timers.

In theory, does this mean there will always be plots open, as relocators just shuffle around?

But only after the random timer counts down. Plots become "available" but they're really only available for relocation. We have the new RNG timer before a plot is available for purchase. In theory plots could stay completely unable to be purchased by anyone as long as people keep relocating until after maint next Tues when wards 13-18 become available for purchase.

Eventually all the open plots will be the worst of the worst smalls and the problem will fix itself! :p /s

As long as the random timer is set to not exceed 5 minutes it would nip this in the bud, because 5 minutes is the relocation cooldown imposed on plots (e.g. Person 1 relocates out of G.W3 Plot 8, Person 2 can't immediately relocate into G.W3 Plot 8 - as per 4.1 Patch Notes).

It's not 5 minutes and the 4 plots I've seen that were relinquished were all longer than 5 minutes (at least an hour in fact, unsure when exactly they were purchased in the end though).

All the patch notes say is: "To discourage the resale of plots, any plots relinquished by owners will be unavailable for purchase for a limited time."

They don't give us exact timing.

I would certainly be interested in knowing how long the resale timer is.

There isn't a set timer. If SE was smart they wouldake it completely random think of the fox fate when SB first launched. People knew an general idea when it might pop but sometimes it was very random. Hopefully they did housing the same thing. If they didn't then resellers and house flippers would just continue

Since they said it would be a random time, I just assumed it would be random like hunts or the rare FATEs. There's a certain window of time where it's always at least X minutes/ hours before it opens, but it will open by Y minutes/ hours if it had not opened up already.
