Why not one button for everything and a bot to play your character while AFK/offline.

FFXIV has been trending toward a singularity of simplicity for a while now: the removal of cross-class skills, the simplification of mechanics and outright removal of other skills - just to mention a few - and now resistances being done away with instead of reworking them to be useful.

So in the spirit of making FFXIV a passive experience that requires no brainpower, just implement the inevitable now by binding all actions to a single button and letting serverside calculations do the work. Is the player a healer? Then heal the character lowest on health when they mash the One Button, and so on for tanks and DPS. Console subscriptions would soar with this system.
