[Dev ???]Weaver base material should be a btn gathered item , not a mob drops item

Well all i want to say is that weaver base materials should stay an item that is gathered by botany like it always have been before and not something that is drops from mobs

in the past it was always item > yarn > Cloth and that item was something collected by botany

from moko grass > cotton bolls > Flax they could be collected from mobs to but btn was the most efficient way

now with the wool thread they they ignored all the botanist
they could always enhance stuff whit mob collected items like dew tread
but the base should be something collected by btn

Either way, it's a grind. You either grind on botanist, or grind farming sheep.

Granted I rather farm sheep than get on botanist. I like the way it is now. Makes sense that the better material would be from and animal.

The material for level 51-55 cloth gear will probably be a plant from grade 6 nodes, but I see your point, and SE has probably thought about it.

I can understand what the OP is trying to say. However to be honest I never really had to farm any materials for Weaver mainly because they give so many rewards for local leves that I end up with stacks of things I really don't need. If a friend needs flax I just hasty hand a few r 30 leves and poof stack of flax in 10 min :).

Grass, Cotton and Flax all come from planets. Wool does not. It makes sense.

I have no problem mindlessly slaughtering sheep.

I did it for leather and for weaver (wool was great xp 45+). And ill do it again.

Wool coming from sheep makes sense. Even the drop rate is okay for production of sellable wares.

The issue is that wool is the only thing to really level on from around 36 to well into the 40s as a weaver.

So without a high level battle class, your DoH is doomed to drop 5k per black fleece all the way to nearly cap.

What could really solve this entire issue is static access to local leves just like other disciplines have for regional leves.

More than a year and this still hasn't been fixed.

They really do need to address that. Crafting leves shouldn't be random and gathering shouldn't have two leves for one camp.
