Doubt about Matéria

Dear guys...
I have one doubt about materia.
Can i meld one Unique/Untradable item?
for example, can i upgrade my Venerer's Bracers (Arc Hands) with DEX matéria?

Every items have information on this (if it can be converted into materia, if it can be melded with a materia) at the bottom of the description window.

The devs are still deciding wether or not to be able to add materia to rare/unique gear.

I hope we will be able to one day...
