PS4 error 2002 when trying to switch data center

Steps:
1. Login in the FFXIV launcher
2. At the FFXIV Stormblood game screen, click START
3. A gray tranlucent notification box pop and says "Connecting to the data center." After a second or two you transition to the character selection screen.
3. At the character selection screen, click QUIT to go back to the game screen
4. At the game screen click DATA CENTER
5. At the data center selection screen, select a different data center, then click CONFIRM
6. You are taken back to the game screen with a tranlucent notification box pop and says "Connecting to the data center." After many seconds you get a black screen and the error dialog: "The lobby server connection has encountered an error." The number 2002 is displayed at the lower right part of the dialog. Clicking OK exit the game and brings you back to the FFXIV launcher.

Note: This is not a new defect. It's been in the Playstation version for a long time. The problem doesn't occur with the Mac version (same Internet connection, ISP and router as the PS4 Pro.)
