Finding the right FC
Hi all,
Could someone suggest or direct good methods to browse through FC's to see which one might be the right one to join?
Or are recruitment postings through the forums the sole means of seeing who is recruiting? I haven't seen any methods in game to browse FC postings so far.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

There is nothing in-game like a recruitment board that you can browse. Your best bet is to look at the postings on your world's board on this forum.
Some companies do put out shouts in-game giving details of their company and what it has to offer - housing, buffs etc.
Other people will send an invite to every sprout online that is not in a FC. I'd be very wary of the random invites; some companies just want recruits for the benefits they get and don't offer much, if anything, in return.
Questions you might want to ask
What is the focus of the Company? casual, levelling, end-game, RP etc.
Are there regular events?
Does the company have a webpage?
Does the company use Discord and if it does, is that where most of the socialising is done? (some people love this, some aren't so keen on voice, so it's handy to know in advance)
Do members help each other with levelling content?
Does the company have a house? If yes, what facilities does the house have and can every member use them? (no point in choosing a company with a workshop, stables or airships if most members never get to use them)
Does the company put up daily buffs for it's members and if so, which ones? (this is the least any company should be doing for you)
Hope that was helpful. Don't feel obliged to stick with the first company that invites you if it isn't a good fit. Good luck with your search.

Solarra makes many great points. I would add a few comments:
Your needs and wants from a FC may change over time. What you want as a new player may change as you get more experience. I'm on my third FC. Nothing was wrong with the first two - they were both great - but I evolved to a different place.
I would suggest just joining one, see how it goes and see if it's what you envisioned.

Pretty much the first 2 responses have it covered, but I'd just like to emphasis that it's ok to move on as you grow as a player. As an officer in an FC my job is to keep us on track for what kind of group we'd like to create as an FC. A couple times I've had members that got angry that we weren't "evolving" in a way that they desired (even though 6 months ago ours was exactly what they wanted in an FC). We're always sad to see members go, but we're not about to change things to cater to everyone's preferences, ya know? There really isn't as much stigma behind leaving an FC as people seem to think.
I would recommend just meeting and talking to people in game, join the ones you click with. Although keep in mind lots of people tend to be extra nice while you're FCless haha.
