Steps:
1. I tried to collect my items from the collectors edition upgrade purchase
2. I received multiple errors along the lines of "There was an error collecting this item"
3. I ended up only receiving 4 or 5 of the total items I should have gotten from the upgrade

Have you tried under the post moogle mail menu, clicking on the opened letters tab and re-clicking on the letters that gave you an error? the rewards should still be there ready to be claimed. For some reason claiming trying to claim a bunch of items in a row very quickly results in an error so when claiming multiple items you should give the system 2-3 seconds between each.
