FC housing and alt characters question

How exactly is this new restriction going to work with players with multiple characters on one server? Will we no longer be able to have our alts in an FC if it has a house? I like having my alts in the FC that my main is in and would like to know what this new restriction is going to do both to players that already have one or more alts in one FC and for players that later decide to make an additional character. Will alts no longer be able to be invited and will current alts get expelled?

I think you misunderstood.

1 Character may own 1 House + 1 FC House - per world - per account.

The FC Leader owns the house.... alts and such...provided they are member of said FC can continue to reside there respectively.
Feel free to clarify if I missed something.

They actually clarified that it counts as you owning a FC house if you are just a member. So ownership of the FC does not matter in this regard at all. If you are in a FC with a house then you cannot purchase a FC house on that server with your account at all.

What I'd like to know is how this will affect people who own FC houses and have different characters in other FCs with housing. Will the house get taken from them? Or does this only apply to the actual purchasing of a house? (I have a friend who's alt inherited master status of an FC, and he's worried that he'll lose the house.)

My guess is it just restricts buying one, though it really is just a hassle if you need to leave all fcs on alts that may be in another fc to buy a house on your main / just adds the restriction of give the fc to someone else for a second to "hold" it.
If it does mean the fc can't own a house since a member is part of two fcs with housing, that's really inconviniencing, and would probably just destroy more than it does good.

I have 6 alts on Brynhildir, 4 of which have small houses. I would be fine with having to get rid of 3 but only if Houses automatically become shared estates with server alts. Meaning, if I can only have 1 private estate per server per service account then all the characters I posses on that server under the same service account need to have full access to that 1 private estate. That is the only way this would then be fair for everyone.

Yeah they need to let your alts automatically have access to your house.

Yeah it is kind of weird, so you can't have different characters being apart of different fcs?

The way it sounds is that they are only limiting who is able to purchase the house. If your main is in a FC with a house, then you can't be the one to buy a house for a different FC on your alt, but the FC itself isn't prevented from buying a house.

It's not retroactive, it just prevents Player A from controlling to much. Player A can no longer have a potential access to 24 airships after this change.

While Player A might have a Player B that has a FC house if they were to ever leave or even move I think it would disable their access to the house since the house would be refreshing itself as the moment of change.

The tricky thing becomes how does SE control it? I imagine it might be like Crafter Souls where you have the ability to change 3 times a week but for FC housing it might be you can only swap once a week. This would at least give players option to change their focus if they want to be at FC house over other house without being exploited since they would still only be limited to access to one airship/fc craft.
