Harassment everywhere

Hello,

So here is the point,What is it about about all that harasment thingy lately ? everytime i go in a topic,there is someone always speaking about harasment,that what someone said can be considered harasment etc ...

Since when is everything thats sound a tiny bit negative became harasment ?
I noticed it more in parser topic;like "your DPS is low" OMG Harasment call the GM !"

Since when did the community became so sensible ? i remember in ARR,people told me directly "your DPS suck"hell i start to interogate myself about it to find out why i sucked back then,but now,you say something not positiv,its like you're already close to be ban.

What happened with just care or not care about what someone said ? why now when people recieve critiscism everyone gank up and are "you damn elitist scumbag" ?

Tell me if im the only feeling that way,that people now make too much fuss about what people tell them.

nah i think most people lately get offended easily. you see it everywhere, but for those complaining about the small stuff theres 10x as many people silently rolling their eyes

It's more that people are more likely getting offended by everything recently than people actually meaning to offend more. Before feeling offended they should try to understand the person's intentions, sometimes simple text messages can imply a tone you want to imply as a reader and not what they wanted to as a writer. Sometimes they just want to help but don't know why or lack tact. It's kind of part of majority of the western's mindset shift on the past few years, I guess.

I say that because english isn't my native language and I used to get on this misunderstanding a lot when I started socializing more on this game.

When people are talking about harassment about parsers its more then "your DPS is low" It is continuous micromanaging on what to do, how to play, cursing the person out, etc, sometimes they get kicked, sometimes its "run is almost over deal with it" or "I just want to get this done do not kick anyone"

Glad to see im not the only feeeling that people get offended for nothing in the game and in the forum

It's because people just want to be "good enough" and it frustrates the ones actually trying to make this go as fast as possible.

People don't like to be told their wrong.

Just did a trial with 2 paladins.... one told the other if they want to MT they need to put their shield up.

"Dont need it at 50"

Apparently he didn't give a crap about enimity mechanics and being able to let OT do more DPS?

Oh..here's the kicker...moron paladin was a mentor.

Even I knew that 2 paladins always trade off stances...even tanks....its just....a well duh.

Oh and the speed run idiots.....yeah..gotta love those.

Do I feel some people overblow things? Yes. Do I think there is some rampant out of control cry of harassment? No. Do I think there is a rampant out of control increase of harassment? Also no. Do I think some folks are so out of touch that they can't see actual harassment as actual harassment? Yes. Do I think some people are quicker to victim blame and go "Get thicker skin." to absolve themselves of guilt over being a jerk rather then admit they were a jerk? Oh heck yes! Do I think some people take well meaning advice as an attack? Yeah, but I also understand that sometimes, people just have rough days where they just want to unwind and an unsolicited, not asked for at all 'criticism' or piece of 'advice' is just the last straw that sends them into an emotional tailspin.

Sometimes people overreact and sometimes people are insensitive. That's called being human.

Effectively, everyone thinks their innocent and in the right and can't take it when the opposite is proven.
