3. Dual Pistols (Ranged DPS )

4. Nunchuks

5. Dual Axe

6. Double Edge Spear

7. Whip Sword (Ranged+Melee DPS) -Unique like the RedMage

8. Scythe

9.Tonfas

10. Giant Shuriken (Ranged DPS)

guys ya all need to stop comparing the 2.dual swords to the ninja dual daggers
thats like saying raphael and leonnardo have the same weapons

Too many slashing weapons, we need hammers and pole weapons for the next jobs.

Yes to whip swords, I always liked them on Ivy in Soul Calibur games and JRPG like Legend of Heroes. I can see whip sword work for classes like Dancer or a new orginal FFXIV class.

Dual pistols are highly unlikely as it's not worth it to have to go through all the balancing issues of what is just thematically a weapon already used in the game, so you're more likely to see pistols just added to MCH in lieu of the rifles and shotguns currently used. And scythes are already in the game anyway (as BTN tools like they should be, given they're a farming implement and all).

Having said that, whips and tonfas have been at least apparently considered by SE back during 1.0s early design phase and then immediately discarded, due to a certain design document floating around online that lists them (a whip class called 'Flayer' and a club class called 'Enforcer').

Either way, although unlikely it is still possible I guess that SE may look at them for use in future Jobs (as they already did that with other never implemented classes that were repurposed for new Jobs: Musketeer's guns used for MCH, Fencer's rapiers for RDM, BRD attached to ARC instead of being a separate class).

Oh fine, lemme go through these one by one....

1. Possibly, would be interesting to see what job it would be given to (couldn't care less on player opinion for it).

2. Probably not given that Ninja sorta covers that to some extent.

3. No. I mean, have you ever actually tried to fire two pistols at the same time? Yeah, nowhere near as easy as Merlwyb makes it look.

4. I'd go with no just because of how limited the options would be for it on top of another reason I'll list for 7.

5. Maybe. It runs into the similar problem as 4, but it would be easier to make.

6. No because that would fall more into aesthetic options for Dragoon or for 1.

7. No. I know, it looks nice and fancy in theory, but fluid weapons like chains and whips are a royal pain to make in games without making them look like they're made out of segmented sticks.

8. If it's not a caster weapon, then no. Until I see a real person using a real scythe--not that "war scythe" nonsense, I mean the real farming implement--in a practical combat style that doesn't make it look like they'd do the same actions with an axe, then I will always say "no" to them.

9. Possibly, would also be interesting to see what it'd be applied to.

10. Ninja already has that. It's called "Fuma Shuriken".

11. Possible, and doesn't necessarily have to be a healer weapon.

I dislike when people say things like Berserker/Viking, seems like it completely ignores the Warrior and it's theme in this game. Particularly when such jobs are paired with a "we need a hammer class!" arguments. Why not a Judge (FFXII), Legatus (FFXIV), or a Enforcer (FFXIV, 1.0)? All of these have been shown to use wield Hammers in the FF titles in the past, or have had allusions to it. In FFXIV, we have two encounters with Hammer using Legatus.

To those that say certain weapons would be to fantastical to be implemented. Please recall we have Sphere Globes with floating magicked cards, aerther rich glowing weapons, invisible shields, floating magicked crystal mediums paired with swords, books, elemental aspected primal egi, Dark Knight magic paired with very large Great Swords, Mages Black/ White/ Red, ect...

Point being, it's a fantasy game. As long it can be thought up, it can exist in the game world.
