Friend Recruitment Question

Slightly confused by the wording on Lodestone regarding the Recruit A Friend. There are two sections. The first is about the rewards for your first recruit and includes the emotes and such. The second says "Rewards for each Subsequent Friend (Up to 5)" and is just the 5 Gold Chocobo Feathers.

Does this mean that you can get bonuses for recruiting six total (original friend plus up to 5 in the second section) or does the second section include the original friend and is just worded strangely?

It's just 5 friends total you can invite. not 6.

You can still obtain more feathers for each friend based on the sub rewards. But the base rewards for them just paying 1 month and getting the game is gone after recruiting the first 5 or 6.
