Less nods more story interaction

I would love to see more story interaction with our characters. I noticed throughout the story there's all types of emotions being expressed and 90% of the time our characters are either stoic or head nodding, which is a tad bit overused in here. But nonetheless, I'd like to see being able to choose more lines to say and it actually being shown not just an NPC asking what happened?..........(explaining with no caption)...... oh ok I see that's what happened... It's weird imo, being able to salute when they salute to you, just basically making the character fit into the cutscene, making them more engaging and a better experience for the player, not just a weirdo of light. Only thing I have a problem with FFXIV other than that I love this game.;)

I plus the idea. The SE ppl just need to see/play Star Wars Old Republic and they will know what "Live" character looks like. Character looks not alive, he almost never shows emotion, the outcome of the dialogue doesn't affect the scenario, there is no possibility to choose for example the side of the Empire or the side of the Pirates, to make your character an Emperor or ruler of something, poorly(for my taste) developed character customization (very few hairstyles,faces, bodie models). Overall I liked the game but the lack of THESE details spoil the impression about the game.

I feel like background character to the story until a big bad blocking that story's progression needs to be nuked, then when its dead i fade back into the background. I'd like to have more lines to choose from, maybe emote more, at least ATTEMPT to take action in a scene where shits going down that's more tangible than frowning or frowning + draw weapon

I agree... the only expressions I've seen so far is nods, smiles, being shocked or suprised and thats it... not to mention you don't actualy have a voice... wich is pretty fking annoying considering you had to choose a voice when creating your character... the thought in my mind is why Why WHYYYYYY!?

Would be nice if our character talk too. Well... actually they talk sometimes in the story, but it's just that converse emote.

I fully agree to this, although I do not expect a quick implementation. There will be a feature to relive the adventures from your past with your current level and gear via the New Game+ system, I feel it is a good opportunity to give voice to our character. Afterall, our characters do have a voice.

I agree, and I understand that the extra VA costs would probably stop this in its tracks...why not more interactive 'choose your own adventure' type responses? There's some, and it would be nice to express your personality a bit more, many other games do it, it doesn't even need to affect the story line (maybe just the NPC's response, not the outcome). I spent a lot of time making a 'persona' for myself that people respond to (not RP, not really) I'd like to see that a lil more durin the cutscenes. Also I think the animation work, though pretty decent, could flow a lil more, we all look a lil jerky onscreen when we change motion or from emote to emote. Kinda breaks immersion.
