Bought Stormblood (PS4) on Amazon, have an existing PC account; must I buy ARR (PS4)?

I recently went to Amazon.com and bought Stormblood on PlayStation 4 for a friend.

My question is simple.

My friend already owns A Realm Reborn and Heavensward on Windows PC.

The box on Stormblood says "A Realm Reborn Required" on the circle on the left side of the box art underneath the logo. That being said, do they have to get ARR on PS4 as well, and ultimately drop more cash? Or can they still have access to ARR + HW on PS4 as well, since they have access to them on PC already?

You must have ARR on any platform that you want to play at all.

You must have the expansions on a platform in order to log in if your character is in an expansion area.



Your friend will need to buy ARR, but HW is included with SB.

If your friend gets ARR and SB For PS4 and then enters a Stormblood area, he will be unable to log in on PC until he logs out in an ARR or HW area on PS4, or buys SB for PC.

The way I understand it, you need separate licenses for pc and PS4. So to play SB in PS4, I think you would need a license for ARR in PS4 even if you already have ARR in pc.
