Cats of Hydaelyn!

I adore cats.

Now, Hydaelyn as a setting boasts a fair few different types of felines. In some cases it is in terms of minions that can be collected, loyal forms of unique transport...and as opponents prowling the wilds.

So, I'm curious! What is your favourite aspect of feline lore in Hydaelyn? I've always had a fondness for Coeurls - they've popped up in one form or another in previous titles and they resemble big cats to a certain degree. To this day the original Coeurl mount is one of my favourite forms of transport. I also love the tiger mount obtained through hunts - though I consider that to be a long term project for the sake of my sanity.

I like that when Alexander decided to subvert its own existence, it knew it had the best chance of doing using the guise of a cat.

I love that the relation between miqo'te and actual felines is a matter of debate among the learned. "If we came from cats, how come there's still cats?", I can imagine gets floated around every so often.

I would be so happy if they added a couple more cat minions based off the fluffier breeds.

Instant Flashback

I do not like the cats on Hydaelyn. They are all very large and murderous. Sure, the kittens are cute, but that won't last long.

I greatly prefer cats over dogs in real life. They aren't nearly as needy, and won't poop on the carpet, eat it, and throw up said poop back onto the carpet.

Apparently if there is a Miqo'te in your party in Skalla, and they are under the Well-Fed buff (ie having eaten something), the second boss will have a Fat Cat inside.

Like, this is an actual thing reported and tested by Reddit. I've never been able to check this myself, because I'm usually too busy healing (that boss doesn't even have unavoidable AoEs, why are you still taking so much damage), but I think there are screenshots floating around.
