Vote Kick is abused daily

Seriously, you might as well just remove it. People rarely get kicked for legitimate reasons. 9 times out of 10 it's because someone said something someone else simply disagrees with and the other two just don't care enough to not hit yes.

Actually check the reports and you'd see the system doesn't work as intended.

Do you have evidence to support your claim?

What if lack of the kick option will be abused?

Seconded. Any proof that 9 out of 10 Vote Dismisses are unjust/an abuse of the system?

That being said, if you are being kicked from duties regularly, probably means that the problem doesn’t lie with the other party members.

This. I rarely ever see someone get vote kicked, and 9 times out of 10 it's just to eject someone who got disconnected.

Usually if it is being abused, someone else will reject the vote. I doubt it is being abused. If it is being abused, I suggest using the report harassment in support desk.

After 2,054 hours of FFXIV (not-including any trial participation donkeys months ago), only one instance springs to mind of me being kicked in a manner that 'could' be perceived as a little unfair.

I entered levelling roulette as tank and the Healer immediately decided right at the start that they knew my limits better than I did, thus ran ahead and pulled three packs for me (to which I happily let them die). They proceeded to call me out, pointing out I was a "bad Mentor" and all manner of childish nonsense, so I decided that if this was going to be the way of it, I would stand perfectly still and let them vent their toxic drivel. It wasn't long before I was kicked, allowing me to instantly re-join a new dungeon with less toxic idiots.

As for people other than me, aside from people being kicked for being largely AFK or toxic, I very, very, very rarely ever see an attempt to kick for unjust reasons. It can happen (with higher risk if everyone but you happens to be a dedicated group of, say, friends, guildies or whatnot), though chances are if someone hasn't done anything wrong, someone will hit NO and keep them in anyway, especially if it's a Tank (less so for a Healer), given most people do want to get their dungeon done rather than kick a Tank and sit around for 5-20mins waiting for a new one.

TLDR: I'm sure it can happen, but if you're going to claim it does so at an obscene level, you're gonna need to back that statement up.

AFK/Offline is the primary reason I've seen things get kicked.

What, are you trying to debate politics or religion in your raid groups? Many/most people play games like this to get away from that sort of junk. Are you complaining about how much this game sucks compared to [insert your favorite game here]? I can understand why people wouldnt want to listen to that over a 20+ minute run(and if you hate it that much, why are you playing this game?). I mean, if i havent guessed it then what does saying something disagreeable mean?

Ive been playing for about 3 years, and if we dont count AFK/offline kicks ive seen 2 people kicked out of groups. In both cases it was a player who stopped participating in the dungeon clear and was just arguing and calling the rest of the group names - in other words a by the book definition of harassment and a totally legit kick. Is the system perfect? Oh god no, i dont think anyone is claiming that. But ive seen no evidence of abuse anywhere near 90%, and would need to see proof to believe it.

Uh... Definitely in disagreement here. I've only been in two instances where the kick was unfair:
1. I was in a 24 man raid and one alliance kicked a member for simply him not knowing the fight. When asked if they explained to them what they did wrong, we got a "no, not my job to".
2. Got kicked out of POTD (of all things) for popping one of our Rage poms on floor 98 and going to every room with my friend to grab chests because we had no angel ones.

Otherwise it was justified or they afked.
