1. I saw somewhere that you can get your very own chocobo, I think it was in a SE website when I was signing up, but I have not been able to find any further information about this, I really want one (not rent one every time). Can anyone point me in the right direction about this?
Join Grand Company and buy with company seals - you can get grand company quest I believe starting at lv22, need lv25 to obtain the chocobo if I remember correctly.
2. I have done some research and found that quests are not the main thing in the game, due to this, questing is quite confusing for me (since I come from other games where its quest after quest). Once a quest is available for my level, is there a quest log I can access or some sort of thing that tells me who to speak with? Only time I have quested is when messing around the city and suddenly I find out an exclamation mark on my minimap.
Look up websites or when you're in town look for NPC with a "!" icon which shows up on mini-map or map when you're close enough in range.
3. Is there a way to switch gear faster? Like when I want to equip, lets say a fishing rod, everything from my... cleric? or caster or whatever the name it is is unnequiped, but I have some other gear that "class?" can equip and I have to do it manually, is there a shortcut to this?
Menu > Config > User Macro and make macro for each class with set equipment using
/equip command info - http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...e/macro01.html
4. Is there any macro to open the gear window and items? I know "U" stands for the Usable Items window, so I'm guessing theres something like it for those.
Menu > Config > Key bind and setup key for equipment window.
5. I have heard they were working on Auction House, is it implemmented yet?
Nope, only got market wards but you can try and buy from the search function directly by paying small fee if you walk up to the actual retainer in specific market you wont have to pay this fee.
6. What is the quicker way to make coin or guil or w/e?, questing just seems not enough - still have to learn up the terms...
You don't need too much in the beginning so don't worry too much - doing leve's over and over in time will be enough in most cases to get you started.
7. I saw some people with emblems/shields on the left side of their nickname, what is this? Is this the guild thing?
Linkshell - basically a guild you can ask people around if they are inviting new members.
8. I have tried to use my blacksmith hammer thing, but it asks for recipes... where do I buy the books or whatever for these? xD
You can check recipe's here http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/pl/recipe
- Sorry yes many questions >,> - and since I think I have selected a VERY empty server, I just find people once in a while, feels like a solo RPG game ._. so I can't really ask people... not to mention I'm afraid of the stupid people calling you names and stuff like noob for simply starting the game and trying to progress in it... so yeah better rant here :o
9. I have tried my fishing skill (just level 2), but most of the time "nothing bites" ... whats wrong with this? I can't really afford purchasing bite and stuff, I have only used rat tails and mob things for it xD but takes looong and I havent found anything out of fishing, everything just goes away u.u
For starter buy worms/lug worms and just use those they are the cheapest fishing baits available at shop selling gathering items. If you don't have enough money for that dunno what to say... should go kill few mobs outside sell the materials and buy bait, with bait get some fish and once you got enough fish sell those and repeat. If you start alchemy you can craft those fishes into shards/crystals and try to sell those in market to make some cash also.
10. I heard somewhere that you can level everything with Levequests, I picked up some of these for fishing and stuff, but wasnt able to complete them for some reason, lets say I want to level up my blacksmith, how can the NPC give me the materials (heard it gives everything so you don't need to look for those only for levequests) and how can I get the recipes for those levequests? O_o soo confusing xD
For local leve after you take quest for the ones you have to deliver to a camp just open the crafting window and choose the first option on very top and choose the leve you just took and the materials are already supplied to you so you can start crafting (you have to have the crafting equipment equipped to craft like the smithing hammer) for the other type where you have to talk to NPC in town look at the journal > Map and they will show where the NPC is located talk to the NPC to receive the materials and once you have the materials just open up the crafting window and do the same process as the delivery one to start crafting.
Anddd thats it for now I think xD
Nice to meet you :D btw, I'm from Mexico so, please bare with my typos if any :)
