I transferred all my data off my old PS4 to a PS4 Pro today and was told I have to rebuy the game since it’s a new console. So I bought the ffxiv starter kit off the PS4 store and went to log in but found that when I tried to log in it kept trying to create a new service account and said it will delete my old one. Is there anything I can do to stop it trying to create a new account?

Although this is not a technical issue, I may be able to assist you anyway.
It probably asked you to purchase new game because there was not any game time currently on the account. You will need to add the new entitlement to a new service account, but you will be able to play on service account 1. You will not be able to play service account 1 characters on service account 2. I hope this helps. If you have any further questions regarding this, I would suggest contacting the support center directly where they can take a look at your account.
