Will we ever get the option to change our system sound without having to log off?

Well mostly as the title says, will we ever get the option in game to change our sound settings without either having to close the game and relaunch, or have our game crash because the system changed the sound?

It seems that this is a no brainer in almost all games out today, but this option has been missing since launch and I still don't know why they haven't fixed or added this in.

The game will crash if I use wireless headphones and the wireless headphones run out of battery. This is such a silly issue that shouldn't exist.
