Starlight Celebration quest

So, I'm not getting the completion for this. I've done it three times. Am I missing something?

All we have to do is use the bear's ability throw at the trees right?

1) Are you using the right bear? There's an NPC that has you mount up on one right near the fate.
2) Are you level syncing? The first time I did it I totally forgot to level sync and didn't get credit. Derp! :P

Need to use the bear from the NPC and be level synced. If you are using the mount you get as a reward, it will not work.

You know what happens when you play another game for a while that doesn't require level syncing as it does it automatically and you come back to this game where you have to do it manually? You forget. *coughgw2cough*

Remember 2 things, you must use bear from NPC not by mount log, second you MUST SYNC for fate if your over level. Otherwise you get Zero credit.

Do you also need to do damage/land a hit if not in a party? Think you do so might be that if soloing. Can be tricky with so many people though so probably best going as a party.

Yes, you do need to damage them somewhat. If your on PC just hit the 1 and aim and click with your more soooo much easier.

Ah! Mouse targeting! Yes, that would be easier, wouldn't it!

For me playing with a PS4 controller, I found the best way to prepare was to get into targeting mode ahead of time, and move the target circle so it's fairly close in front of you. (By default it's a fair way off.) Leave it there and do the rest of the targeting by manouvering your character and/or the camera.

It's a lot easier to do it now when there's only a few people still playing. When it had just launched, the area was so thickly covered with bears that you couldn't even see your targeting circle!

don't be me. I used the bear they gave me for 2 fates before I realized why I was causing no damage lmao -_-

Yarp. That part isnt quite clear. Took a bit to figure out you needed to go get the "Quest Bear" from the NPC and not use your "Bear Mount" that you got as a reward.
