Goldsmith desynthesis 157

I was hoping for some advice, I've hit 157 just be desynthing random stuff I get from dungeons etc, but I've come to a complete standstill now. I don't seem to get any drops now that give xp or they are too high for me. Is there anywhere I could buy gear to desynth? I've tried googling it, but to no avail. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

You can also dysnth ilvl170-ilvl200 gear in the foundation with centrio seals, they are like 25- 50 seals for acc

For 230- 240 accesories, i would dysnth shire and augmented shire gear using your poetics

Thank you. I see its a long video, I've tried finding the section I need, but it's all moving too fast as he's clicking open windows etc.

The 170 gear, can I desynth that with my 157 skill please? Can I ask the name of the seller so I can go and check? Sorry, I tell my struggle with any crafting stuff. I would just carry on going slowly, but I haven't had anything from dungeons that I can desynth in forever!

To help boost your desynth for a bit, use bacon broth and tinkerer's calm. That can make it so you can desynth the 170 gear pretty reliably. If you have crafting scrips you can buy crafting earrings from the vendor in ildy with blue crafter tokens.

Dont forget to meld materia! Each meld will increase desyn success rate! :)

Forgive my ignorance but why would you want to? You can access cheap and reliable sources of fieldcraft III and mastercraft demimateria at around 75, so is there any real benefit of leveling it higher save for being able to desynth dungeon drops I’d just turn in for GC seals anyway?

Fibers, for one example - the kind used in making the i190 Ironworks crafting/gathering gear. As when they first came along, there are but two means of getting them : Moogle beast tribe tokens, and desynthesis. Beast tribes are, of course, time-limited. The stuff to desynthesize was available for the uncapped scrip, so you could get as much of it as you wanted.

Every once in a while something comes along that you want a high Desynthesis level for. There is nothing like that at the top currently, but given the repeating history story of FFXIV, expect something to come along again.

Unless SE throws a bone to Desynth sometime this expansion in the form of NEW Desynth-exclusive items or glamours (like the swimsuits), I don't have any more hope for the system. Desynthesis hasn't had any new items to call its own for all of Heavensward. I'd even settle for Demimateria IV if it means that my GSM at d320 gets more valuable items from Scalla than "Pre-70 crafting items that are now <5k ea and maybe a BCIII for 10k if I'm lucky".

Hell, I just recently reset my LTW and WVR Desynth (d300 and d200) so I could have all Crafters at d60 or so, allowing me to more easily obtain the Desynth materials for the Zodiac step of the 2.x Relic. Sure I'll probably spend 1m+ leveling them up fast, but I can easily make it back due to how barren the market is.
