Please adjust old content for unsync

It’s annoying that there are some dungeons and trials that you cannot do solo unsynced no matter how much you outlevel the content because of mechanics that can’t be handled solo.

It’s silly that we can solo Titan ex but not Titan hard because when he gaols you in hard it resets the instance, it should be changed to work the same as ex where it’s a timed bomb. Or stone vigil hard where it’s impossible to get past the second boss solo because one cannon isn’t enough when at level 70 I should really be able to kill it myself without a cannon.

Yes, I could do these things synced, or ask a friend to come and help me, but I don’t really want to waste my time in a duty queue for something I should easily be able to solo if not for gimmicky mechanics and I don’t want to waste my friends time running old content they get nothing out of for my glamour purposes just to get me past one thing.

How would you rework it then? For Titan Hard and Stone Vigil Hard, how could you rework those mechanics that it wouldn't affect synced runs when players try to run these unsynced?

A8S was annoying to farm unsynched because with 4.0 changes to accuracy the boss now often miss lv70 tanks and don't remove their stacks which leads to instawipe during Gavel. With lv80 tanks it'll be impossible to complete.

You can solo both of these unsynced though...??

You just nuke Titan in like 5 GCDs and Stone Vigil HM second boss is annoying but doable. I know I've done it. Whole run took like 20 minutes because second boss is a time sink.

Personally I just wish they make it so that regular mobs in unsync dungeons would drop items if you don't them to drop Gil fine but man would be nice when farming mobs that only appear in certain Dungeons and other places. It's would be easier just being able to farm them that way. In my opinion it's just a little silly that you can only get items from the bosses.

A good start would be to remove all "instant death" effects with damage that's sufficient to guarantee a kill on an in-level player. Ultima from Ballad getting their fifth stack?! Instead of instant-death, have the attack deal serious damage. Lvl70 may survive it (or not), lvl50 won't. And yes, it is instant death, despite there being comments that it's supposedly 10 000 damage on next attack. I did "survive it" only for the screen to blacken out and the instance to restart anyway when I attempted it. Ultima at least can be soloed by a summoner, though it would take quite some time leaving all the killing to the summon. But Titan Hard cannot, seeing as its Gaol won't hit a summon, ever.

In the case of Gaol and similar imprisonment effects, just have it blow-up dealing massive damage if there are no players alive to destroy it. Again, the end result is identical for synced players (heck, I never, ever, saw anyone stay in a Gaol for more than a couple seconds anyway in Titan Hard), while it would make any class be able to solo it with a high enough level and base stats, as in, a level comparable to where other dungeons of similar grade are soloable.

This is what friends are for...

Not worth putting effort into a few things you can't solo. Why not just ask a friend or put a PF up or even maybe queue normally in this case? ^^

I was doing 3.0 Relic for DRG and DRK and came across things like in "The Aery" Nidhoggs move where he binds you in fire or something and you can't break free on your own and eventually kills you. Also before that in "The Wanderers Palace"(Hard), the last boss casts doom and I can't kill him fast enough. In those cases I just asked a friend that wasn't busy and we ran through the dungeon np!

Like I said before, instead of posting a thread about things you can't solo. Question why you want to solo in the first place. It's really not necessary in a MMO.

Edit: You should worry less about wasting peoples time. To be honest, a lot of people are probably bored half the time playing this game and are looking for something to do lol. At least in this current moment in time.

I tend to work on soloing a lot of that stuff because the few friends I have aren't online, or busy doing something else. And because the FC I'm in either nobody is on, or those that are on tend to ignore anyone and everything that isn't their linkshells(and it seems like I'm the only one not in any of their LS...)

This is a MMORPG. We need to be social to obtain goals. We need friends to complete content. If friends aren't online, then we just need more.
