Seems nobody allowed to make suggestions without rude/sly remarks and assuming one thing when they weren't even there. And seems making a suggestion equal = I'm using it as an excuse for my mistake lol

Made a mistake like that last night trying to buy the stuff I needed to upgrade the 260 gear to 270. I accidentally purchased taut instead of tautest (wasn’t paying close enough attention when checking which item I actually needed) and wasted 500 poetics. So yeah, it would have been nice to have a short return window.
nope to this. pay attention to what you're doing. I've made this mistake more than once, you just eat it and move on.
Might as well level a healer to make use of the wrong ring you bought.
I'm sure that when you buy things with tomestones it will say that it cannot be equipped by your current job if it is different to what the item is intended for is more than enough. Plus you have the do you want to trade ??? amount of tomestones for whatever item so you kinda have two confirmations there...
Exactly what this dude said. you have multiple warnings when making purchases in game which is the reason why SE made their decision on the One Time Item assistance. Also, yeah we are all human and make mistake but that doesnt excuse you from making the same mistake, again, but with different currency. those items, though different currency, are purchased the same way since ARR. if you made the mistake, unfortunately, just eat it or go run more dungeons to earn the currency again. if you are capped, well just wait. Trust, saving that One Time Item assistance is best for when the game is about to end like FFXI, not making any more expansions but still going strong.
