Recording chatmode option

Right now we've got chatmode set to /say by default.
In my case I've got to change chatmode everytime I log in by typing /chatmode linkshell in order to set my usual and preferred channel.
Coul it be possible to set an option for changing default chatmode so there's no need for typing /chatmode "whatever" everytime we log in?
I know I'll earn myself the "Lazy Crown" for this suggestion, just please don't be rude... :o

just type /l

works the same as /chatmode linkshell, or /cm l

yeah defualt linkshell chat option would be amazing!

It doesn't. That will send the message through linkshell channel, but then it will return to the default chatmode. For example, if you have /chatmode say and type /l Hello! the text will be displayed on linkshell channel but you'll get back to /say after that (hope you understand, it's difficult for me to explain this with my poor English...)
Anyways, thanks a lot for remind me of abbreviation forms (that /cm l, you know...)^^
I've found an easier way indeed: if you haven't customized controls just type CTRL+L (or CTRL+S for /say, CTRL+T for /tell and so on) and you're done :)

PS: My suggestion is still alive and kickin', though...

type /chatmode linkshell
or
type /l

SAME EFFECT,

/l hello - is a msg that will return to default chatmode
/l [enter key] -is not a msg, and changes the default chatmode (to linkshell in this case)

do we really need another tab in config to save you 3 keystrokes on login?
