Can we get a mode for Gc squads where we take them into a 16 bit mini dungeon we don't actually go in we are just a commander and we go through a old school ff dungeon with chests around and random battles and your squad members would be your party

turn based combat squad mini game in FF14... I would play it
I'd play it! A lot!
I'd play it.
Sounds more fun than “Let’s bring some NPCs into a dungeon”. This gets my vote!
I don't think this would be suitable for GC squadrons though (they're units you're sending off on missions for your GC and increasingly will be accompanying you into dungeons, so why render them in 16-bit? Why not have the whole game rendered in 16-bit then?).
Instead, I think something like that would make an excellent minigame at the Gold Saucer - after all, there is already precedent in the game: the 'Cheap Dungeon' minigame from the Rising event earlier in the year was based on the old Square first-person dungeon crawler Deep Dungeon, and then there was also that trailer SE did back in... 2014 I think it was, of the Titan SM battle rendered as a 16-bit turn based battle, to say nothing of PotD referencing 16-bit games with Job icons being rendered as 16 bit character sprites and all, so it is possible. It would be perfect for Gold Saucer either way. :) So I definitely support this. :D
Add this to the Gold Saucer and I'd probably never leave. Hell, just port the entirety of FFV into the Gold Saucer and I would LEGIT never leave. Even something like the treasure adventures from Tomodachi Life would be amazing.
this may be actually some fun, i would't dislike the idea.
Yes Please. This would be tons of fun and would be quicker to make than blitzball
They could call it the retro corner in Gold Saucer, where you play 16 bit versions of trials and some dgns using GC squad.
