I want to start rolling a healer to check it out, but after being bard, would it get bored?
Thank you for your advice.
P.S. It's also becuase of the long waiting times for DPS's.

Depends on what you're looking for. If you expect to have all your attention focused on keeping HP up and allies safe in anything outside of Savage or total dumpster fire runs, you'll be sorely disappointed. If you're looking to keep an eye on everything at once while tossing out DPS between necessary healing you might have a better time. Healing in XIV is very powerful- and very boring if that's all you do in most content. I had a lot of fun trying to maximize my DPS uptime and heal as little as possible, but that's just my personal experience.
In general I like healing because I like to save, protect, and keep a bird's eye view of the fight so I can try to save people running towards their deaths.
You get to save people from dying
You get commendation
Less queue time
I find healing fun only in pvp, because you are actually healing and have to move a lot more and you have to make critical decisions like who to let live and who to let survive. Pve healing is boring, 24 man raids is just a spam of aoe heals, trials are bpring all u do is spam ur 2 attacks, savage is boring you heal here and there then attack the whole time.
WHM, holy spam. Something about the noise it makes is extremely addicting.
All classes have pros and cons. I will say, I started as a WHM and loved the versitality in that role. If you do want to start healing, consider what you want to bring to the table. WHM has the regen functionality, Scholar has more of a sheild aspect and AST can choose to be either or based on their team make-up or just whatever they prefer to play in the given moment. The best heals learns how to comfortably interchange healing and DPS output seamlessly (Yes, Holy for WHM is satisfying but so is Earthly Star for AST and if you want to have a pet pal tag along, try out SCH... I hear SCH has a great job story too). All this being said, playing heals isn’t boring if you choose the right class in that role for you! I learned after messing with AST that I actually prefer it to WHM because of the support my cards bring to the table with buffs, you might like that too as you are a primary BRD. Hope that might help add insight.
My 2nd sub is AST and I love it, way more fun than WHM and SCH if I have to choose between the healer
I like healing because it is more based on choice.
DPS is about doing a rotation that other players say is the best.
Tank is about knowing mechanics and keeping track of all enemies, but not much moving sometimes.
Healing is all about what to cast, on who, when? Etc. It is more based on intuition.
